2. Not Legal Advice

Shronix eSign is a technology platform, not a law firm. The information, templates, guides, FAQs, and tools provided on our Platform are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice.

• We do not provide legal opinions on the validity, enforceability, or interpretation of any agreement.
• We do not draft or review specific contracts on behalf of users.
• The legal validity of any electronically signed document depends on multiple factors specific to your jurisdiction and use case.

3. No Guarantee of Legal Validity for All Documents

While our Platform provides legally compliant electronic signatures under Indian law (IT Act, 2000), certain documents are not permitted to be signed electronically as per Schedule I of the IT Act, 2000. These include:

• Negotiable instruments (other than cheques)
• Power of Attorney as defined in Section 1A of the Powers-of-Attorney Act, 1882
• Trusts as defined in Section 3 of the Indian Trusts Act, 1882
• Wills and any other testamentary disposition
• Contracts for the sale or conveyance of immovable property

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that the documents they sign through our Platform are eligible for electronic execution under applicable laws.

4. Identity Verification Limitations

Our identity verification mechanisms (Aadhaar OTP, mobile OTP, video consent) are designed to provide reasonable assurance of signatory identity, but they are not absolute proof of identity.

• OTP-based verification only confirms access to a registered phone number, not the actual identity of the person holding the phone.
• Aadhaar verification confirms that the OTP was received on the Aadhaar-registered number; it does not absolutely prove the person at the time of signing was the Aadhaar holder.
• Video consent provides additional evidence but is not foolproof against impersonation.

For highly sensitive or high-value documents, additional offline verification methods may be necessary.

5. Service Availability Disclaimer

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the Platform is available 24/7, but we do not guarantee:

• That the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• That defects will be corrected immediately.
• That the Platform is free from viruses or other harmful components.
• That information transmitted through the Platform is secure from interception (despite encryption).

6. Third-Party Service Disclaimer

Our Platform integrates with several third-party services, including but not limited to:

• UIDAI (for Aadhaar OTP verification)
• Payment gateways (Razorpay, etc.)
• Email delivery services (Zoho, Zeptomail)
• WhatsApp Business API providers
• Cloud hosting providers

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, performance, or reliability of these third-party services. Any disputes related to third-party services should be addressed directly with the respective providers.

We do not review, verify, or validate the content of documents uploaded by users. Users are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy, completeness, and legality of documents they upload.
• Ensuring they have the legal right to share and execute the document.
• Obtaining appropriate consent from all parties involved.
• Ensuring the document complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from the content of user-uploaded documents.

8. Tax and Compliance Disclaimer

Information about taxes, GST, and regulatory compliance on our Platform is provided for general guidance only. Tax laws change frequently, and your specific tax obligations depend on your circumstances. 9. Court Admissibility Disclaimer

While our signed documents include comprehensive audit trails designed to be admissible as evidence under the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (Section 63), the actual admissibility and weight of any electronic record in court depends on:

We cannot guarantee that any specific signed document will be accepted as evidence in any court proceeding.

Our Platform interface is currently in English. While we may provide informational content in Hindi or other Indian languages, the official, legally binding versions of our Terms, Policies, and other legal documents are in English. In case of any conflict between an English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
